Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

I didn't make any banana bread...

but I did finally finish tidying up the bedroom!  I hung the last of the artwork on the walls, dressed the bears in new coordinating black neck ribbons and vacuumed the floor.  Of course, you can't see the corner of the room with my antique desk and all of the sewing crap piled on top of it.  That's my next project - I have put most of my sewing supplies into the desk but I still have to find a spot for my books of possibilities clippings and a few more framed prints.  The night is still young!
I also got the rest of the artwork hung on the living room wall - it's sort of linear, but it's just a blank wall and it's not like I had a lot of options.  I'm sure I'll rearrange it before long - I royally screwed up the ME print I framed and now I have to have it matted and framed in a larger frame.  Fortunately I have a larger frame, but I was being cheap  frugal and trying to re-purpose the smaller one to avoid have to have a mat cut.  That's what I get...

  1. I love your frames on the wall. Do you know where the Smokey the Bear print came from?
