Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

Free at last!

Ray and I went for a little spin on Friday night after Long replaced his starter.  We celebrated with a Route44 drink from Sonic - it's really the rabbit poop ice I love.  I was happy to get out of the house (and get a fountain soda!) and Ray was happy to get the dust blown off his hood after sitting for a week in his spot outside my window.  I've resolved not to speak ugly to him any more; we are finally a team.  I missed spending time with him last week!
In our travels this morning, we went to one of my favorite places - Publix - where we stocked up on the necessities: Diet Coke, cat food and a few other staples.  And who can resist getting a sub or wrap at the Publix deli?  Roast beef was the special this week - and since I'm always conscious of the whole anemia thing, I got a wrap to share with Aggie and Peter for lunch.  I do get sick of beans, you know. Eating a little meat is a good thing, now and then.  Ha!  Ariela told me that beets are high in iron, but I am just not there yet.  Tuna four packs were on sale buy one get one free, so we are having a tuna fest this week - tuna salad, tuna casserole, tuna melt...  I love a sale!

  1. I can't believ I am just now seeing this post from Sat! I really LIKED the Publix when we were in Florida in March visiting LD's neice and family. They are WAY cooler than the grocery stores here! We go to Sam's and Walmart and Braum's and the Dollar Store. That's it!
