Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

ME Monday...

Two of my prized Mary Engelbreit ceramic photo frames which have survived years of life with cats with no mishaps!
Another ME frame - and I found this funny photo of my boy Monty this weekend to put in it.  This picture really captured his exuberant terrier self.
I tried to get a good photograph of my ME pendant watch, but my camera or the light (or my brain) was not cooperating.  I rediscovered it this weekend when I was finishing up the closet.  Amazingly, I had a new compatible battery in my desk drawer.  I used to wear this alot back when I really cared what time it was.

Be sure to check out the other ME treasures at Cherry Chick!

  3. I've just read your last THREE posts. Not sure what's wrong, but they are not showing up as currently as they used to here. Is it on my end, or are you doing anything different??? At any rate...you keep getting more and more organized! Love how the bedroom has come together. Sounds like your bag collection is a good one, so how can you part with any of them? I'm envious of your nicely orgainzed closet and oh yes...I love Chinese food. Whew...am I caught up?

  6. Hey, I'm organizing too! I can't begin to tell you how jealous I am of your closet. Our house was built in the 1950s and it's a slider closet. It's actually pretty big and takes up all of one wall, but I have had to be very clever to fit things in it. One good thing - it doesn't take that long to organize! :)

I have that same pendant watch too! I've got to dig it out now for one of these ME Mondays. I like your frames too. I don't have any of those.

Thanks for all your kind words while I was sick. I'm getting better and better every day. You're a dear!

  7. Hi Dawn,, I am also a huge ME fan! Love her colors. I know what you mean about things surving the cats. lol I just found a collectors plate on EBAY that I loved. It was a teddy bear plate given to me in the 80s that was broke by a four footed friend who shall remain nameless. I was so happy to get it replaced though:)
I hope you have a great week. (())gail
