Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

It's tulip time...

and it always makes me thing of two things: Easter and the annual Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan.  Just imagine yourself in a sea of fresh, blooming tulips and you're there.  It's amazing.  I never buy fresh flowers - and all the plants in my home are fake because of the way cats like to eat greenery - but Publix had these amazing potted tulips on sale for only six bucks, and well, I couldn't help myself.  I crammed the ugly plastic pot into a Longaberger tissue basket and instant spring!  Of course, by morning they were wilting a bit because I'd forgotten to water them just a little - but they are still beautiful.  So far, Peter has left them alone and my clients and I are really enjoying the fragrance and their happy presence on the corner of my desk.
It makes me want to buy fresh flowers a little more often!

  1. I know what you mean about cats eating greenery. When Hubby brings flowers, the only place I can set them is on the fireplace mantle in the family room (where can't see them all the time). Glad you're getting enjoyment out of your purchase.
