Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

Finally found it...

The elusive camera cable!  Al & Tom picked up my desk chair at the office today, along with several crates of files and other essentials for me.  I spent three hours yesterday morning sitting in a hard oak chair while I gave a QuickBooks lesson - not a good thing.  Anyhow, I've been unpacking and organizing (between phone calls, clients and a quick trip to the office) and there it was - in a box with some other cables that I have not a clue what to do with - the cable for my Canon PowerShot.  Yippee!  I had arranged my collection of Longaberger May baskets on my baker's rack and moved it to the wall beside the entry.  As you can see, I need to chant less is more, less is more just a little bit more.  I actually got sort of used to the spareness of my first apartment; it was very Zen with not much stuff.  Why, it was practically Japanese by my usual clutter standards!  But I digress...  I'm not sure about the lamp; I have to live with it for a few days.  It's the cutest little Mary Engelbreit lamp - an eBay find - but the shade is wrong.  Yes, the cats ate the original shade - story of my life!  I really want to put my candle warmer where the lamp is so that it smells nice when people walk in the front door.  Guess I'll be arranging and re-arranging this weekend!
Sometimes it's a good thing just to mess with your stuff.

  3. So glad you found the cable.
Your baker's rack looks great. Love the baskets.
Maybe you could put some books under the lamp
to give it a little more height. It's really cute.
