Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

Trying to do my part...

and recycling my aluminum cans - even though it goes against my perfectionist tendencies to have trash sitting around the house for too long.  Cardboard boxes come into the house long enough to divest themselves of their contents - and then on to the recycle bin with them, too!  See, I've got this bug phobia.  Cardboard and paper - out the door!  I thoroughly rinse the empty aluminum cans before I toss them into the sealed bin where they patiently wait until the bag fills up - then I tie it up and pass it along to Jonathan for his employee who redeems her collection of cans for extra money.  I have even switched to a smaller bag for the recycle bin so I can get the empty cans out of the house sooner.  How obsessive is that?  I want to do my part - but I also don't want a bug infestation!  Is it just me or does everyone who recycles feel this way?

  1. I think as long as the cans are rinsed thoroughly you shouldn't have a problem.

  2. I think you should be proud of yourself! I need to do more to recycle things!
