Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

I need a massage or an adjustment...

This ME illustration cracked me up.

I woke up this morning with the worst headache!  I thought it would go away by the time I ate lunch, but no such luck.  Every time I move my head, my neck goes snap, snap, snap...  A massage would be nice - or a quick trip to the chiropractor, but alas, I have no relief to keep the office open in my absence, so I'll just listen to the snap, crackle and pop.  It's almost six and I don't expect any clients before seven, so I may just get home in time to watch DVD 1 of Return to Lonesome Dove before I zonk out for the night. I have to get back into the routine of working longer hours - the luxury of summer and fall is over for now.  Like I should actually complain!   Nine returns so far in two days, so that's a good thing, as Martha would say.

  1. Try a hot pad (I have one that's filled with corn and one with rice; they both conform to the shape of my neck), then a self-massage on the crackly spot on your neck.

    Good luck!
