I finally watched the movie. And I felt the same way I did about the book: leave out the annoying parts about the self-absorbed, not-very-nice Julie Powell and give us a biopic about the wonderful, delightful and ever-interesting Julia Child. Meryl Streep was fantastic and I absolutely adore Stanley Tucci. They have a great chemistry (remember The Devil Wears Prada?) and I could watch both of them for hours. Of course, it didn't make me want to bone a duck, but I am thinking about making a batch of potato leek soup...
I haven't seen the movie but I agree about the chemistry with in The Devil Wears Prada. Hopefully I get some quiet time soon so I can watch it. I cook everyday and my recipes are getting predictable. I really should try something new.
