Welcome!

I've finally decided that I am a writer - all the other things I do just pay the bills. Someone eloquent once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Well, let's just see about that.

RIP Aggie

RIP Aggie
Aggie was my fifteen-year-old cairn terrier - or maybe I should say I was her 55-year-old person! She was my faithful companion, spoiled rotten and I am still trying to figure out what to do without her.

Peter the Cat...

Peter the Cat...
This is Peter the gingersnap tabby! He's seven years old and has just been promoted to Peter the Very, Very Good. He is working his way up to Peter the Great...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...

Bee - the Cat Who Came From Somewhere Else...
Bee is Peter's buddy. He's eight years old and has made himself right at home. I guess cats really do come in pairs or sets of three!

And Jasper makes three!

And Jasper makes three!
Jasper is our new guy - the Cat From Another Place. He's four years old and we think he likes it here - so far, so good!

Before and after...

Tomorrow should be fun - Monty has an appointment at the vet and I am going to attempt to get out of the house with just one dog. Aggie loves to ride in the car so much that when she sees Monty getting hooked up to the leash, she is there! Anyhow, if I have my way, she is not going along. I have a hard enough time handling the two of them, two tangled leashes and my cane when it is time to go outside and make potty! Here is Monty with his goat-boy look; he and his barker-in-crime are in their favorite spot by the window.

A couple of weeks ago, I had Monty groomed to his normally sporty look - I found this wonderful groomer who comes in her fully-equipped van to your house and comes to the door for the dog! Solved my one-dog-at-a-time problem! Anyhow, she found a lump on his side and suggested that I have the vet look at it. I am really hoping it's nothing serious - but I'm a worrier. Here is Monty the love sponge at his handsome, sporty best...

  1. I hope you get the A-OK on Monty's spot. That is why I'm an advocate of lots of hugging and petting. I think by "touching" your dog or cat every day, you will notice things like lumps and bumps that shouldn't be there and can act quickly. Hug your pet today everyone!!

Personally, I think Monty looks downright handsome with his shaggy-puppy-do!
